In a bid to further strengthen the RUWES initiative as a national project in the actualization of its set objectives, the initiative is in partnership with the Federal Road Safety Corps to mobilise officers of paramilitary agencies as well as wives of officers of every paramilitary agency in our sensitization efforts. Due to the high volume of firewood used for cooking in the barracks and dependence on diesel generators and kerosene lanterns for household lighting, we have identified the barracks as a target area for access to cleaner, cheaper and safer cooking and lighting energy.
