On March 26, 2026, the Rural Women Energy Security (RUWES) Initiative participated in a one-day Technical Workshop on the Framework for Biodegradable Plastics in Nigeria, organized by Oando Clean Energy in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Environment. The workshop was held at the Green Building Hall, Abuja, and brought together key stakeholders from government institutions, regulatory agencies, private sector actors, academia, and development organizations. RUWES was represented by the Head of Secretariat, Jumaima Ella.
